WATER is the key. Keep your tree standing in water in a cool area, protected from the wind and sun until ready for decoration. If, at any time, the water supply to the tree is interrupted, make a fresh cut (remove approximately 1/2" from base) and place in water again. Your tree will drink between one quart and one gallon of water per day. It is best to use a tree stand that holds one gallon. Check the water every day.
