Maple Row Tree Farm is owned and operated by Jim Edwards and his two sons David and Scott. Established in the mid 1950's, the farm has grown to be one of the largest Christmas tree operations in Southern New England. The property, which has been in the Edwards family since the 1700's, was a dairy farm when Jim Edwards was growing up. After he graduated college in the late 60's with an economics degree, Jim began planting the trees on a much larger scale. Throughout Connecticut, the proliferation of tree farms began as the dairy industry succumbed to harsh economic pressures.

With over 200 acres devoted to growing nine species of Christmas trees, Jim has expanded the farm to employ over 50 people, including family and friends. Each year, during the Holiday season, Maple Row Tree Farm sells thousands of trees.
